What is CSR-1 Registration?
CSR-1 Registration is the mandatory registration of NGOs with the MCA to receive CSR funds from companies.
Under the Companies (CSR Policy) Amendment Rules, 2021, companies can only spend CSR funds through NGOs that have filed Form CSR-1 with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
After successful filing, the NGO receives a unique CSR Registration Number, making it eligible to implement CSR projects.
CSR-1 registration applies to:
- Trusts
- Societies
- Section 8 Companies
- Registered NGOs working on social welfare activities
