Refund & Cancellation Policy

We believe in fair and transparent refund practices

Our Commitment: LegalX India believes in helping its customers as far as possible and therefore follows a fair and transparent refund policy. We want you to be completely satisfied with our services. If you are not, we will do our best to make it right.

1. Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs all refund and cancellation requests for services provided by LegalXIndia Advisory Pvt. Ltd. (CIN: U74999WB2021PTC246214), operating under the brand LegalX India through legalxindia.com.

This Policy forms an integral part of our Terms & Conditions and should be read in conjunction with them. By purchasing any service from us, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

2. The 24-Hour Money-Back Guarantee

When you purchase our services, your purchase is covered by our 24-Hour Money-Back Guarantee:

  • If you are, for any reason, not entirely happy with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of payment
  • To request a refund under this guarantee, you must contact us within the first 24 hours of your payment by emailing info@legalxindia.com or calling +91-9635685435
  • We will gladly refund 100% of your professional fees within 24–72 business hours of your refund request, subject to the deductions and conditions outlined below
  • This guarantee applies only if service has not yet commenced (see Section 4 for definition of "service commencement")

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Cancellation Before Service Commencement

  • Cancellation requests must be made within 24 hours of placing an order to be eligible for a full refund
  • Requests made after 24 hours but before service commencement may be eligible for a partial refund at our discretion
  • Cancellation requests can be submitted by emailing info@legalxindia.com with your order details and reason for cancellation

3.2 Cancellation After Service Commencement

Once a service has commenced (i.e., documents have been reviewed, prepared, filed, or submitted to any government authority), the following applies:

  • Cancellation requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • A partial refund may be issued based on the work completed up to the point of cancellation
  • Government fees already paid are strictly non-refundable (see Section 5)
  • Any third-party or out-of-pocket expenses incurred will be deducted from the refund

3.3 No Cancellation Scenarios

Cancellations will not be entertained in the following cases:

  • The order has been communicated to our operational team and the assignment process has been initiated
  • Services purchased under special promotional prices, festival discounts, or limited-time offers (New Year, Diwali, Independence Day, Foundation Day, etc.)
  • Services that have been fully completed and delivered
  • Where the delay or issue is caused by incomplete or inaccurate information/documents provided by you
  • Same-day delivery or express processing service orders

4. Service Commencement — Definition

For the purpose of this Policy, a service is considered to have "commenced" when any of the following has occurred:

  • Your submitted documents have been reviewed and verified by our team
  • A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) application has been initiated
  • Any government portal application, form, or filing has been initiated or submitted
  • Name availability has been checked or a name reservation application has been filed with MCA
  • A draft of any agreement, document, or filing has been prepared
  • Expert consultation time has been allocated and provided
  • Any third-party fee (professional charges, courier, DSC, etc.) has been incurred on your behalf

5. Government Fees — Non-Refundable

Important Notice

Government statutory fees and charges paid directly to government authorities (MCA, GSTN, Income Tax Department, Trademark Registry, FSSAI, etc.) on your behalf are strictly non-refundable once paid. These include filing fees, registration charges, stamp duty, and similar statutory levies.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) filing fees for company registration
  • GST registration processing fees
  • Trademark filing fees paid to the Trademark Registry
  • FSSAI application fees
  • Import Export Code (IEC) registration fees
  • Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) charges
  • Stamp duty and notarization charges
  • Any other statutory fees mandated by government authorities

7. Refund Process & Timeline

To request a refund:

  1. Email us at info@legalxindia.com with:
    • Your full name and registered mobile number
    • Order/Invoice number
    • Service name and date of purchase
    • Reason for refund request
    • Bank account details for refund (account number, IFSC, bank name)
  2. Our team will review your request within 2 business days and communicate the outcome
  3. Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days from approval date
  4. Refunds are credited back to the original payment method (bank account, UPI, or card) wherever possible
  5. For payments made via bank transfer, refunds will be processed directly to the sender's bank account

Please note that while we process refunds within 5–7 business days, your bank or payment gateway may take an additional 3–10 business days to reflect the amount in your account.

8. Partial Refund Calculation

For partial refunds, the refundable amount is calculated as follows:

  • Total Professional Fee Paid
  • Less: Government fees paid (non-refundable)
  • Less: Cost of work completed (based on stage of completion, assessed fairly)
  • Less: Third-party out-of-pocket expenses incurred
  • Equals: Refundable Amount

We will provide a transparent breakdown of deductions in our refund notification.

9. Service Delays & Government Rejections

LegalX India is not responsible for delays caused by government authorities, portal downtime, or processing backlogs. Such delays do not entitle you to a refund of professional fees unless LegalX India is directly at fault.

In case of government rejection:

  • If rejection is due to incorrect/incomplete information or documents provided by you: No refund; resubmission at additional cost
  • If rejection is due to an error on our part: We will resubmit at no additional professional fee
  • Government fees for resubmission are charged at actuals in all cases

10. Promotional & Discounted Services

Services purchased under special discounts, promotional offers, bundle deals, or festival offers (including but not limited to New Year, Diwali, Independence Day, Foundation Day, and similar occasions) are not eligible for cancellation or refund. These are limited-time offers and are sold on a non-refundable basis.

11. Subscription & Retainer Services

For ongoing compliance, retainer, or subscription-based services:

  • Monthly retainers may be cancelled with 30 days written notice
  • Fees for the current billing cycle are non-refundable
  • Unused fees for future billing cycles (prepaid) will be refunded on a pro-rata basis
  • Annual subscriptions cancelled mid-year will be refunded for remaining complete months only

12. Dispute Resolution for Refunds

If you are dissatisfied with our decision on your refund request, you may escalate the matter to our Grievance Officer. All refund disputes shall be resolved as per the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms & Conditions.

We are committed to resolving all refund-related grievances within 15 business days of escalation.

13. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
