Everything a company needs from its first day to its yearly filings. We register private limited companies, LLPs, one person companies and partnerships. We handle GST registration and returns, income tax and TDS filings, and Chennai profession tax, both the entity registration and the employer deduction. We file trademarks and patents through the offices right here in Guindy, secure FSSAI and MSME registrations, and keep companies compliant through every AOC-4, MGT-7 and DIR-3 KYC deadline.
Each service below has its own Chennai page with local process details, fees, documents and timelines, so you know exactly what happens before you pay.
ROC Chennai administers most of Tamil Nadu, so a registered office anywhere from Adyar to Ambattur or Anna Nagar files with the same office, and the company carries the state code TN in its CIN. A separate Registrar of Companies at Coimbatore covers eight districts, and Puducherry has its own registrar. The MCA restructuring that commenced on 16 February 2026 left Tamil Nadu untouched, and it did not move the Regional Director either: the Southern Region Directorate stays headquartered right here at Chennai, now covering Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Company and insolvency matters are heard by the NCLT Chennai Bench, appeals go to the NCLAT Chennai Bench itself rather than New Delhi, and the Madras High Court has its principal seat here, with a coequal Madurai Bench covering fourteen southern and central districts.
GST applications carry Tamil Nadu state code 33 and are assigned to a state officer under the Commercial Taxes Department, Tamil Nadu, or a central officer under CGST, split across the Chennai North, Chennai South and Chennai Outer commissionerates. Trademarks and patents are administered from the same building in Guindy that serves the whole of South India, so a Chennai filer is not routed to another city for either. Establishments with ten or more workers register under the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act 1947 through the state Labour Department at labour.tn.gov.in. Municipal trade licensing runs through section 287 and Schedule VI of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act 1919, administered by Greater Chennai Corporation, and profession tax is a separate Corporation levy under the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act 1998. Tambaram, Siruseri and the Oragadam-Sriperumbudur belt sit outside Greater Chennai Corporation entirely, so we confirm the correct civic body before we file anything for an address in those areas.
Our clients run software and IT teams along OMR, in Sholinganallur, Perungudi and Taramani, manufacturers in Ambattur and the wider Oragadam-Sriperumbudur belt, traders in T Nagar and George Town, and professional and residential businesses in Adyar, Mylapore and Anna Nagar. Because filings happen online, the neighbourhood never slows the paperwork. It only decides whether Greater Chennai Corporation is the civic body, or whether the address instead sits in a separate corporation such as Tambaram, or in a SIPCOT administered area outside city limits, and we handle that mapping for you.

ROC Chennai, which administers most of Tamil Nadu. A separate Registrar of Companies at Coimbatore covers eight districts (Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Erode, Krishnagiri, Namakkal, the Nilgiris and Salem), and Puducherry has its own registrar. The MCA restructuring that commenced on 16 February 2026 restructured registrars only in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra and West Bengal; Tamil Nadu was not touched, so ROC Chennai keeps the same territory it always had. A Tamil Nadu company carries the state code TN in its CIN.
Yes. Our Chennai office is at WeWork Chennai One, Chennai One IT SEZ, Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam 200 Feet Road (OMR), Thoraipakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600097. The entire process runs online, so most clients never need to visit. Walk in only if you prefer to sit with an expert in person.
A clean application with matching address proof and no query moves quickly, but the timing sits with the officer who takes the file, so we give you a realistic date once we see your documents rather than a promise up front. Tamil Nadu registrations carry state code 33 and are assigned to either a state officer under the Commercial Taxes Department, Tamil Nadu, or a central officer under CGST, split across the Chennai North, Chennai South and Chennai Outer commissionerates.
Establishments with ten or more workers register under the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act 1947, a duty introduced from 2 July 2024; below ten workers a lighter intimation applies instead. Registration runs online through the Tamil Nadu Labour Department at labour.tn.gov.in, not through Greater Chennai Corporation. Separately, a trade licence for specified activities is granted under section 287 and Schedule VI of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act 1919 by Greater Chennai Corporation, and an ordinary office or IT business is often outside that closed list. We confirm which of these apply to your activity before filing anything.
Yes, but not under a standalone state Act the way Maharashtra or Karnataka run it. Profession tax in Chennai is levied by Greater Chennai Corporation itself, under sections 117-B and 117-C of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act 1998, and produces one registration number, the PTNAN. The cycle is half yearly rather than monthly or annual, due 30 September for April to September and 31 March for October to March. Employers deduct and remit for salaried staff; self employed professionals register and pay directly.
No. Company registration, GST, trademark, MSME and almost every other service here is filed online. The rare exceptions are physical verifications that officers conduct at your premises, and document registrations at a sub registrar office for certain deeds.
